Cloves

A warm and aromatic spice native to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia, clove has been cultivated for two thousand years. It pairs well with vanilla, cinnamon, allspice, red wine, coffee, orange, star anise and onion. Whole clove is used for decoration of Christmas hams, in mulling spice mixes and a host of other sweet and savory dishes.
