Sunday, June 29th from 2-4pm
Come join Corissa on a Sunday afternoon as she demonstrates how to make a two-loaf batch of Artisan Sourdough Bread. Corissa will walk you through the history of Sourdough, What a Starter is?, How to create your own Starter from scratch, and demonstrate how to make two artisan sourdough loaves. Corissa will also focus on a few fun techniques on how to finish off your loaves with fun designs. (Please feel free to bring a notepad & phone/camera to take notes & photos!)
Corissa Holmes King has served as the Environmental Programs Supervisor for the City of Redmond, since 2018. Since she was a little girl, Corissa has had a love for cooking and baking. During the height of the sourdough bread rage, Corissa chose to take her passion and interest of baking to the next level. In 2021, Corissa traveled to Louisville, KY to take part in a week-long intensive course on Sourdough Artisan Bread. Since then she has made beautifully, tasty loaves of Artisan Sourdough for her family and friends, and now shares this passion of baking and the science behind Sourdough, by teaching classes at Arome.
